As they came out of beat rangers returned to winning ways, because new signing Ryan Kent limped off with a hamstring injury, but there was cause for concern.
Ended with former loanee Kent limping off after yanking from the Livi half.
The people broke the deadlock from the penalty spot just two minutes using Steven Lawless shooting home after Scott Arfield had triggered in the box Lyndon Dykes.
But Rangers hit back through a James Tavernier free-kick at the 55th minute before targets from Alfredo Morelos and substitute Brandon Barker – either side of Dykes’ sending-off – wrapped points up.
Rangers had the lion’s share of possession in the early stages however, while there was some positive play against the hosts, it took him 11 minutes to enroll the first shot of the game.
He could not keep it and Sheyi Ojo needed a good opportunity in the 23rd minute when he shot the ball around visiting goalkeeper Ross Stewart although the relentless home side continued to push for an opener.
And Rangers were dealt a massive blow at the 41st minute when Kent was not able to last and replaced by fresh boy Barker.
Livi left a dream start as the referee pointed to this spot just over a minute in after Arfield fouled Dykes. And then Lawless scored his third league goal of the season from 12 yards to place Gary Holt’s guys 1-0 up.
But Rangers went in and hit in the 55th minute when the free kick from the left of Tavernier everyone in a packed box.
And Rangers took the lead for the first time at the game in the 71st minute when Tavernier’s corner was flicked on by Aribo and Morelos.
Livi were reduced to 10 men at the 73rd minute when Dykes has been shown a second yellow card for a foul on Connor Goldson, and Rangers made it 3-1 six minutes later when Barker finished a fast attack with a fine conclusion to mark his league debut with a primary goal for the club.
