Terms & Conditions
By ordering a service, the client confirms authority to submit the manuscript and accepts the selected package scope, payment terms and published policies.
Ownership
The author retains copyright and ownership. EMIS™ acquires no rights in a manuscript merely because it is submitted.
Nature of service
EMIS™ provides professional evaluation and opinion. Publication, representation, sales, critical reception and commercial success are not guaranteed.
Payment and delivery
Work begins after eligibility, complete submission and payment confirmation, or after acceptance of a Signature quotation. Turnaround periods are estimates in business days.
Client responsibilities
The client must provide accurate information, submit authorised material and retain an independent backup.
Scope changes and liability
Material that materially differs from the declared scope may require a revised quotation. To the extent permitted by law, liability is limited to the amount paid for the relevant service.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the applicable laws of South Africa, subject to mandatory consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
